The Big Easy Shorts Festival is the sister festival to the Beverly Hills Shorts Festival and the South Padre Island Film Festival. With over 12,000 short films made every year filmmakers need venues to reach an audience... And there is no better audience than New Orleans.

What's our connection to New Orleans? Our Festival Co-Director Laura Raitman Martone was born and raised in New Orleans... Katrina took her Father's house, her Mother's house, and her Grandmother's house. We started the Big Easy Shorts Festival to give something back to the city that she loves so much... we're giving the city some of the best shorts in the world... and we're devoting our resources to help New Orleans and rest of the Gulf Coast protect itself against future acts of nature.
