Join the Big Easy Shorts Festival in helping The Friends of New Orleans!

The purpose of Friends of New Orleans is to advocate for the City of New Orleans and its surrounding parishes.

We want this region of the country to get the resources it needs to rebuild.

We want to create the political will that is needed for the area to come back the right way.

The main issues we are going to rally around are as follows:

1. Support a long term plan for major hurricane protection for the region that includes:
   1. restoration of coastal wetlands, and
      
   2. improved levees and storm surge barriers.
      
2. Private and government sector assistance to rebuild Louisiana’s devastated communities.
   
   
3. A fair share of the gas and oil revenues of Louisiana’s continental shelf for use by the State as needed.
